In 1969, our Christian school opened in Roseburg, Oregon, with the purpose of educating students to excel in every aspect of life. We are dedicated to equipping each student to attain the highest s tandards spiritually, scholastically, and socially. St. Paul Lutheran Church and School is a private, Christian school that is dedicated to each child's wholesome spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, and social growth in a safe, secure, and loving environment.
Our staff recognizes that they are here to nurture each child's spiritual growth as it is integrated in all other aspects of learning. The Christian faith is implemented in all facets of the educational process. Through the process of education and faith, it is our intent to bring the child into a loving relationship with our Savior, a sharing relationship with peers, and a caring relationship with the community and world.
Saint Paul is dedicated to developing a spiritual and academic atmosphere that will continually provide growth and stimulation, and a love for reading and lifelong learning.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Our goal is for children to learn about God and experience God's grace and mercy through Jesus Christ. We believe that a meaningful education includes an understanding and appreciation of God, His purpose, His character, and His abundant love. Children grow in their faith and knowledge of God as they learn of His love through Bible stories. Children learn to build friendships based on Christ-like kindness, respect, and forgiveness.

TEACHERS & STAFF
Our teachers and staff are driven by a commitment to the Gospel and focused on a mission of bringing hope and healing to students and
their families. They model visionary, servant, and spiritual leadership by studying God's Word, exhibiting a passion for ministry,
acting courageously, equipping God's people for service, caring for others, demonstrating integrity, and praying.
Valerie Weckerle
Director of Early Learning
Mrs. Weckerle has an Associate of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, has completed Oregon Registry of Professional Development Level 9, and has completed two years of student teaching at St. Paul. She has also served as our Child Care Director.
Mrs. Weckerle loves getting to know each child individually, and is an energetic and welcoming presence in the day-to-day functionings of our school and church.
Cathy Ramsey
Pre-K Teacher
Miss Ramsey has worked with young children since teaching the Vacation Bible School 4-year-old class as a High School Freshman. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from OSU in Early Childhood Education/Home Economics. In the Oregon Registry she is a Step 10.
She loves working with young children and fostering a love for the Lord, a love for learning, and
a love for all people.

Linda Russel
Pre-K Substitute Teacher
Mrs. Russel has been teaching at St. Paul since 1995. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Oregon and she has an Oregon Teaching Certificate. Mrs. Russel does a great job connecting with students and really enjoys teaching reading. She has been an invaluable asset to St. Paul and has helped in many different ways over the past 20 years.
Mrs. Russel's favorite part of teaching is giving instruction in religion, reading, math and science.
Jennifer Galster
Pre-K Teacher
Ms. Galster has earned an Associates Degree for Early Childhood Education from Umpqua Community College and a diploma from Montessori Northwest (Portland) teacher training for children 2.5 to 6 years old. She has been an assistant teacher for young children as well as fulfilling 480 student teaching hours and she has lead the Crafts program at St. Paul's VBS for eight years.
Ms. Galster loves seeing children learn and explore an she believes that when they make discoveries on their own it is very inspiring. Children have such a contagious joy for learning and she is thrilled to watch and support their growth!
